This cycling trip focuses on the rural Thailand and experiencing the local people who mostly work in agriculture. It's the perfect match for those who have ridden one of our tours south of Chiang Mai before. The cycling tour starts outside the city and continues on carefully selected roads. Anyone with an average condition can ride this tour
Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel as scheduled and brought to the starting point of the trip outside the city. After a short safety briefing we start our exploration of the Thai countryside. We cycle on quiet roads and ride alternately along rice fields, canals, orchards and fields with a wide variety of agricultural crops. We will stop regularly so you can get better acquainted with the local population and its agrarian culture. This tour gives you a clear picture of the diversity of the beautiful rural Thailand. Enroute, we visit a local folk museum and stop at several small projects with seasonal-related activities. We also pass a Chinese cemetery which is very well known in this region. Around noon, we have a typical Thai lunch at a local restaurant. After a visit to the nearby lake, we ride along country roads through rice fields and small villages back to Chiang Mai. At the end of the cycle tour you will be picked up and brought back to the hotel.

General information
Bicycles:Adapted mountain bikes, also known as comfort bikes, with 24 gears and front suspension are used for their multifunctionality and comfort. The bikes are equipped with water bottle carriers but without racks. Bicycles for both men and women, in different seizes, are available.
Clothes: Suitable clothes are shorts and firm footwear. Please no loose fitting dresses that can get caught up in wheels, and no flip-flops. Your safety is a major concern to us. We provide a light poncho during the rainy season.
Packing list: Sunglasses, sun block, insect repellent, pocket money, a small camera and if necessary a small rucksack.
Support: This environmentally friendly tour does not need a support vehicle; however, back up is provided when necessary.
GPS: The use of GPS or other tracking devices is not allowed during our tours.
