Itinerary

After a short safety briefing, we depart for the streets of Chiang Mai. Weaving our way through the city on quiet lanes and small roads, we begin our trip north. The mountains of the Doi Pui range are a splendid backdrop as we follow the flow of the Ping River. We ride upstream along the riverbanks and see various orchards, fields and farmland, unveiling Chiang Mai as the ‘Rose of the North’. We continue our trip over country roads to reach a man-made lake. This water reserve forms part of a Royal Project and is especially popular among locals as a spot for weekend outings. We take our time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and get treated to some delicious local food, before heading back towards Chiang Mai. Riding along the canal, we pass through the popular Chiang Mai sports stadium and also visit the Hill Tribe Museum*. Small roads at the foot of the Suthep mountain finally lead us to the historical Wat Chet Yot. We take a look at the main viharn which is quite different from anything else in the city. On our way back into town we visit the Chiang Mai National Museum**.
