Itinerary

After a short safety briefing, we leave the hotel for the streets of Chiang Mai. Through a maze of narrow alleys and quiet lanes, we make our way across town and begin our journey north. The mountains of the Doi Pui range are a splendid backdrop as we follow the Ping River upstream along the riverbanks and see various orchards, fields and farmland, unveiling Chiang Mai as the ‘Rose of the North’. We continue our trip over country roads to reach a man-made lake. This water reservoir forms part of a Royal Project and is especially popular among locals as a spot for weekend outings. We take our time for a light snack and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, before heading back towards Chiang Mai. Returning towards the city, we stop at the Hill Tribe Museum*. is a low-budget but dedicated academic effort by Thai people to document and acknowledge the cultures of minorities in northern Thailand. this interesting stop, we cycle back to town via a well-chosen route of small streets and alleyways.
