Itinerary
A covered pick up truck will transfer you to a beautiful and unique Chinese temple located in a quiet area south of Chiang Mai. After a short safety briefing, we begin our journey south, following the Ping river downstream. The ride is pleasant and green due to the proximity of the River. Our first visit is to a local temple still under construction, where we gain an insight into the intricacies of temple decorations. We continue our trip on back roads, leading us to a former leper colony set in tranquil woodland surroundings. We stop to take a closer look at this centre, originally founded by the missionaries and now a rehabilitation centre.  Cycling over small country roads you will discover the real rural Thailand. We ride past various fruit orchards and encounter the Thai way of life as we meander around the villages on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. We explore the temple ruins of Wiang Kum Kam before we transfer you back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
