Half-day cycling tour south of Chiang Mai (code: CNX- CLHS)

Departures at 08:30 am and 01:30 pm*

Overview
The cycling is on well-planned routes down quiet roads and lanes, chosen for the interest and contact with the Thai countryside and Thai way of life. The tour is ideal for the majority people, who have an average level of fitness and an interest in cycling, culture, local history, rural life and scenery. It is not a mountain bike tour but a leisure cycling tour that shows the beautiful sites south of Chiang Mai

Itinerary
After a short safety briefing, we leave the hotel for the streets of Chiang Mai. Traffic downtown is light as we begin our journey south, following the Ping River downstream. The ride is pleasant and green due to the proximity of the river. A visit to a former leper colony, now a rehabilitation center, gives some insight into the activities of the missionaries in days’ gone bye. Cycling over small country roads you will discover the real rural Thailand. We ride past various fruit orchards and encounter the Thai way of life as we meander around the villages on the outskirts of Chiang Mai. We explore the temple ruins of the former capital of Lanna before we cycle back to Chiang Mai. Entering the city on bicycles ensures that we are part of the solution to pollution!
