Overview
The cycling is on well-planned routes down quiet roads and lanes, chosen for the interest and contact with the Thai countryside and Thai way of life. The tour is for the average person, reasonably fit and with an interest in cycling.
Itinerary
Day 1: About 35 km flat. (L, D)
After a short safety briefing, we weave our way through quiet lanes, featuring Lanna architecture in some of Chiang Mai’s interesting neighbourhoods not frequented by tourists. The route continues onto country roads through beautiful and varied sceneries. We witness the farmer’s daily life activities and introduce you to ‘the real Thailand’. Your accommodation is in a small boutique country house with swimming pool. Our hosts are particularly attentive to your needs. Luxuriate in the quiet and peaceful surroundings and recuperate from the day’s activities. Your guide bids you farewell for the evening.
Day 2: About 45 km flat. (B, L)
After a hearty breakfast, our bike guide meets you for another day’s cycling. We visit the nearby dam and reservoir and then continue on beautiful country roads through ever changing landscapes. Slowly and surely, we approach the outskirts of Chiang Mai. Via a well-chosen route of small streets and alleyways, we avoid heavy traffic and arrive back at your hotel, where you can relax and unwind from a rewarding Chiang Mai adventure.

General information
Bicycles: adapted mountain bikes, also know as comfort bikes, with 24 gears and front suspension are used for their versatility and comfort. The bikes come equipped with water bottle carriers, rack and panniers. Both men and lady frames are available.Clothes: suitable clothes are shorts and firm footwear. Please no loose fitting dresses that can get caught up in wheels, and no flip-flops. Your safety is a major concern to us. We provide a light poncho during the rainy season.
Packing list: sunglasses, sun block, insect repellent, pocket money and a small camera. You will receive a complete packing list after your booking is confirmed.
Support: this environmentally friendly tour does not need a support vehicle; however back up is provided when necessary.Important: people with particular requirements are advised to bring their own pedals, shoes, saddles, helmets and other personal items of cycling clothes.
